How can a 16 year old Indian boy survive 227 days at sea on a lifeboat in the company of an adult Bengal tiger?  A middle-aged Pi Patel (Suraj Sharma/ Irrfan Khan) shares the story of his incredible journey with a writer.  He tells of how his father owned a zoo in India, and how the family decides to make the long trip to Canada by ship and how the ship sinks at sea during a storm.  Pi loses his whole family and ends up on a lifeboat with his new companion, Richard Parker, the tiger.  In order to survive, Pi must find food and water and learn how to live with Richard Parker in this incredible story, winner of four Academy Awards including Best Director, Ang Lee.
