Hi, this is Yoonhwa and I would like to be called Yuna from teachers and friends.

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY was created and directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1968. In this movie, the special effects such as high-interest visual has been used in a bunch of scenes and the special effects in this adventure still look as tody as if the director knew already what will happen in a present generation.

At dawn, the man-apes of Africa were starving,they were the victims of drought and lack of food. The man-apes were taught to use many other monoliths and immediately enough the tools became a part of their everyday lives. At the sapace station, Dr. Floyd had to make a phone coll for his daughter as his daughter's birthday is tomorrow and he told her that he will call her again tomorrow if it is possible. In the space station, the Russians asked Dr.Floyd that it seems Dr Floyd has been processing an odd project and what it is all about but unfortunately Dr.Floyd retorted "I'm really not at liberty to discuss this". And the Russians were disappointed and pissed off.At the conference, Dr.Floyd asked his colleagues that make sure to tell a cover story and keep digging and researching.

Hi Yuna-- Thanks for being the first to post about 2001: A Space Odyssey, one of my favorite classic films. I hadn't seen this movie for a number of years when I ran across a copy in my local Costco. When I watched it, I was surprised at how up-to-date it still looks compared with today's technology. Thank you for writing a concise summary that hits all the main points of the Earth-to-Moon sequence.

Hi, this is Christina Chien,

First of all, I'm going to talk about something that impresses me a lot in the movie, the motion of the flight attendants. They moved so gracefully and slowly step by step because there was zero gravity in the shuttle. In addition, they could even easily turn up side down whenever they wanted to do so. It's really cool. I'm so surprised that the editor can picture this technological improvement many years ago. Since the development of astronomical techniques grow so rapidly, I think that the things mentioned in the movie would all come true soon.

Hi, this is Alice.
Maybe this movie has much details, but it is special. There barely has much dialogue; however, it makes audiences ponder and below in deep thought. During this movie, director shows monolith 4 times which impresses me very much. When monolith happens, it will take huge change.The monolith as a leader guides ape men learned how to use tools, aims Floyd across space, helps Floyd come into the Moon, have a jupiter trip, and helps Floyd becomes a baby.
I think monolith is not only the black object, but also could help human how to create and use new knowledge.
Then, I want to explains that director use some musics are also attractive.
