A1: Chihiro and her parents were moving to a new town. On their way to new home, they were lost in the woods. Her father saw a tunnel and suggested to have a look. Chihiro was so scared that she said no to her parents. But her parents insisted on having a look. When they went across the tunnel, they thought it was a place where used to be a theme park. Her parents decided to have a meal. Something happened when her parents were eating the food: they turned to be pigs.

Later she “intruded” the bathhouse and Haku helped her to figure out the way to save her parents and herself. She went to see Kamajii and asked for a job. But Kamajii let Rin lead Chihiro to see Yubaba with the purpose of attaining work. At the very beginning, Yubaba rejected the request from Chihiro. However, Chihiro’s insistence won. Rin assisted Chihiro in her first work day. Unfortunately, a stinky spirit patronized the bathhouse, and Yubaba let Chihiro deal with the tough guest.

During the service, Chihiro noticed a thorn inside the body of the customer. Later, she helped to take it out from the body of river spirit and gained a medicine as a reward from the river spirit. Master Haku was bleeding after he stole the zeal from Zeneba. At the same time, No-Face became a trouble to the bathhouse. Because Chihiro had the responsibility for letting No-Face get into the house, Yubaba asked her to solve the problem. Chihiro thought No-Face might need the medicine.

However, No-Face got mad about what Chihiro had done and planned to chase her down. After feeding the medicine to No-Face, Chihiro took the train to apologize to Zeneba, as a representative of Master Haku. Yet, I do think Yubaba should not be depicted as the evil. Who does not want to be wealthy? Who doesn't love his or her only child? Is keeping a contract a bad act? For all of the questions, I would answer that Yubaba is a very honest woman. If she were truly a bad woman, I am bad, Alex is bad, Michael is bad, and everyone is bad. There's no secret of Yubaba. She is a fine woman who worked hard for her success without illegal, unjust measures.

I think that she has two secrets, "Bou" and "Zeniba".
She always behaves arrogantly for Chihiro and other workers, but also has another face as a mother of Bou.
The relationship between Yubaba and Zeniba who is her twin sister is pretty tense. They fight over a gold seal and get Haku involved with it.

Cihiro who is ten years old and shy strays into a strange town and meets a boy, Haku, who works in the bathhouse and is taught the way of thriving there. She asks Yubaba who is the honcho in the bathhouse to give her works and becomes a worker on condition that gives Yubaba her real name. Then, Chihiro starts working as "Sen". In labor at the bathhouse, she acquires skills to live and matures mentally.

One day, Haku steals a gold steal from Zeniba by Yubaba's order, so he is injured by magic of Zeniba. Chihiro wants to help him and decides to go to Zeniba's house. She apologize to her about what Hake did sincerely. Zeniba forgives it and Hake narrowly escapes death. He comes there to meet Chihiro.

In their way home from Zeniba's house, she realize that Haku is a god of the river which she were drowned when she was a little child and he also remember his real name. They return the bathhouse, and Yubaba and her workers are waiting for the two of them. Chihiro can pass the final test by Yubaba and leaves there with Haku. He promises her to be able to meet again and lets her go back where she was.

Last Friday we watched a movie in class. I've seen this movie. It is a different family that encounters a cave on the way to the move and they walk into the cave. Chihiro was scared, but still with his parents into the cave. After entering the cave, it is a very beautiful place. But later she found that this is actually the area of the gods. His parents turned into pigs because of the food that had eaten the gods. Here, humans must eat the food here, or they will disappear. When she disappeared, Haku saved her. And help her find a job in this place and live here.

There are complicated relationship in the movie, and it uses a lot of metaphor to describe a philosophy in real life. First of all, the parents of Chihiro fall into the trap because of the greedy in their minds, the symbol "pigs" they are turning into, which represent the greedy human desires in every adult. The whole film is filled with a theme that the goodness always do the right thing, such as the relationship between Haku and Sen, they are said in love in the film, but in my opinion, the relationship is better to described as friendship, since they keep the promise with each other.

The animation written by Miyazaki Hayao are always philosophical. The story lines are always charming and sophisticated. The characters in the stories, are always representative and lively. For instance, the Yubaba in the film Spirited Away , can be described as a symbol of the governor in the authority. The guy whose name is No-face, can be described as the greedy, which can change a kind person into a monster.

This film is so fun, and I always feel warm after seen it.
