Extraordinary was Riddick in this movie. He was fighting as a monster without any kind of help and he bet anyone [who] was facing him. Which led Lord Marshall to [become] scare[d] about his position from this monster. Although this kind of movie is not my type, I enjoyed [it] during this show. I'll recommend it for my friends.

I gave this movie 7.5\10 "thumbs up".

I like this kind of movie actually so while I watch this movie, I can concentrate. But at the first part that on Tuesday we saw, I couldn't understand all. It was difficult to understand some of contents such as about universal world.

Anyway, while I see this movie, I feel that this movie only focus on Riddick. Nobody can stop him, and Lord Marshal fears him even Marshal is king of planet. It means that he has a big power. And also he has "Helpers" such as the girl named Kyra and the man named Purifier. Actually he is main character but I feel that this movie is kind of "HERO" series and also he is kind of "HERO"

And I found the Riddick (2013) so I'm going to see that movie also.

Teacher's note: Actually, I had some difficulty understanding Riddick, especially the metaphysical part. I'm not sure who that woman is who appears in Riddick's dreams, but she seems to remind him of who he is and reveals to him what his destiny is. Glad you liked this challenging film.

It was my first time to watch this movie. I could not really understand this story. For example, what the relationships among the characters. Maybe, it was better to watch “Pitch Black” before watching Riddick.

Anyway, actions of Riddick were so cool. I like action movie. I did not expect that Riddick became the king of Necromongers at the end. I expected that Vaako will be the king of the country. Necromonger will not control all over the world and people will not suffer from them anymore, so it was good ending, but it was sad that a girl who was travelling with Riddick was killed by Load Marshal at the end.

Teacher's note: Yes, why must Kyra die in Chronicles of Riddick? We all like her. Some of the back story for Riddick is in "Pitch Black". I recommend this movie, but I think Chronicles is better yet more difficult to understand. I think we can all get the main idea of Riddick, and maybe this is enough. I've seen it 7-8 times and still don't completely get it, but it's always fun to watch. My favorite fun part is Riddick's relationship with Toombs, the merc (bounty hunter). "You should have taken the money." "Riddick!!!"

This movie was a little bit difficult for me to understand the concept. I thought that not only English but also the imagination or the inspiration is important when we watch the science fiction movie. However, I have one important thing I learned from this movie. That is to believe the important person strongly. Riddick believed Kyra even though she looked to become a foe in the last time. It makes Riddick strong by the end of the story that he finally took the place of Lord Marshal.

Teacher's note: Yes, Riddick's loyalty to Kyra makes his character more sympathetic. Good point, author. Thanks for posting.

In spite of the fact that I have seen this movie first time I enjoyed it. Actually I like Vin Diesel as an actor. In all movies all of his heroes are invincible. Although this is sci-fi film it contain elements of an action film. Despite the fact that I do not like an action film, I watched this movie with admiration. Because the hero bravely fought for the people whom he loved.

This film was not just about an escaped convict, but also about a man who loves his close people. He fought for them. Even the root word of his name "rid" means disembarrass. He has killed the leader of Necromongers and stood at the throne. It is a pity that all of his close people were killed. Apparently this is the fate of the hero to be one.

Teacher's note: I want to shake this author's hand. There is so much content herein yet articulated with so few words. If only we could all write this well. Thanks for a necromongous post!

It was my first time to movie. It was action movie,it makes me excited. The end of the movie was expectant. It was really wonderful movie and i will see the other Riddick's movie.

This movie was a little difficult to understand the situation and relationship between characters. Some classmates said that this movie was good, so I think I might enjoy this movie if I concentrated more to watch it.

Because I couldn't understand this concept, regrettably, this movie was just creepy for me...

From this experience, I felt the need of improvement of my listening skill. I want to do my best in this semester! Thank you!

I really like futuristic movies. Mainly because it leads us to imagine that one day our lives will be like in the movies. For example: one day we will be able to travel the planets? Are there other humans? Are they equal to us or they have some super power, like Riddick?

We have no way of knowing the answers, but one thing is certain: there will always people who think only in power, even if it need do evil to others.

Teacher's note: One of my favorite lines in Sci-Fi is in Star Wars: Episode 3 when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine finally takes control of the universe and declares, "Unlimited power!" This exactly what so many humans crave, the power to have and do whatever we want. Oh yeah! Thanks for a cool post.

I enjoyed with Riddick character who was brave and has good voice and eyes ……Lord Marchal was afraid of his position because Riddick has huge power to be in lord's position. It is not a bad movies I don’t prefer this type of movies.
