Well, king george [King George] is a traditional, royal kind of guy, who wants to be treated as duke or king.On the other hand, lionel is an easy going common man who had never dealed with a royal personel, also in his therapy sessions, he wants equality between him and the king and that what made the therapy unique and successful. However, i think that king george has accepted this situation when he found that the therapy is working and he is benifiting from logue. In every speech Bertie needed lionel to help him not to stammer. that is why the relationship has lasted, everyone is benifiting from the other despite their character difrences. fahad.

Teacher's Note: This author does a good job of bringing out the compare/contrast aspect of this essay prompt in a clear and concise manner. Please check for upper case on proper nouns. Big thanks for posting on The King's Speech.

Hey :D
First I want to tell that I really enjoyed to watch [enjoyed watching] a second time this great movie.
King George VI (aka Bernie) and Lionel Logue are two totally opposite characters. At the begging of the movie, we can see that there is a ditch between them. Bernie has got some "King manners", and he really doesn't like the outspoken of Lionel. Their first meeting is a total failure.
But then, when Bernie listens to the record of his voice that Lionel made, he understands that he really needs help from Lionel and decides to revisit Lionel.
Then they start to learn a lot from each over during their meetings, and a real friendship begins between us because Bernie trusts Lionel, and makes elocution progress. At the end of the movie, it says that Lionel and Bernie stayed close friends during all their life. This movie shows up a non-traditional relationship between a king and a "common" person.

Teacher's Note: The interesting value of this essay IMHO is how it showcases the character arcs of Bertie and Lionel, in other words, how they change by the end of the story. There are a few word choice and form issues to check, but overall an excellent illumination piece. Thanks for posting.

First of all, the movie is wonderful. I really liked it.
In this story, yet they form a bond that lasts a lifetime. How does this happen? To answer to that question, I shall start with the fact that Lionel and the King are to [two] completely different characters. However, they're, someway attracted to each other.
In my opinion, the major problem in Bertie's life was [is] his stammering and due to Lionel therapy, he could talk without stammering. That may be on the reason of bertie's and Lionel friendship.
In addition, Bertie has always lived in a protected and "bourgeois" atmosphere. Having a contact with a normal man, who lives very simply, who can say vulgarities etc.. Was very special for Bertie's, and lead him to a strong friendship. Like if he wanted to keep a link with "the real life"

Teacher's Note: I like how this piece is structured. It starts at the end of the story, then goes back and explains how it got there. I suggest establishing a time reference and sticking to it. My preference is general time (present simple verb tense). From here, it's easy to make a relative time shift if needed, and the story seems infinitely real. Thanks much for posting. So glad you enjoyed the film.

In my opinion, the most important reasons why King George VI and Lionel Logue form a bond that lasts a lifetime are “respect” and “trust”.
Lionel respects King George VI not because he is a king so that he always calls King George VI “Bertie” rather than “your Majesty”, and both of them respect each other just because they are men who are worthy of being respected.
One the other hand, [In addition,] King George VI and Lionel Logue trust each other in their personalities of being a good teacher and being a good king , as well as being an excellent friend.
It is true that no matter which social class we are in, it is very important and precious we win friends’ respects and trusts. :)

Claire

Teacher's Note: This mini-essay about The King's Speech focuses on the specific character elements that form the basis of their bond of lifetime friendship. It's easy to see how the structure could be expanded into a full-blown five-paragraph essay. Nice job!

Although King George VI and Lionel Logue are very different in so many ways, but [drop] Lionel Logue is a good friend of King George V.
Lionel Logue had never given up teaching King George V; also, he was very good teacher that made King George V [VI] speech skill better than ever. Moreover, Lionel Logue
Listened King George V problems that he couldn’t tell anyone except his wife, so the relationship between King George VI and Lionel Logue was improved in the good way.
After many lesson that Lionel Logue gave to
King George V, he realized that Lionel Logue was a good friend and hey form a bond that lasts a lifetime.

Teacher's Note: This mini-essay highlights the growing friendship between Bertie and Lionel quite well. I would remind authors to check carefully for GPS (grammar, punctuation, spelling) before tapping the EDIT/POST radio button. Overall, a good job. Big thanks, for posting.

I think that The King George had only subordinates. He seemed to not had [have {infinitive}] a friend in his life and he knew that everybody were [was] watching his expression but Lionel Logue was totally different. Lionel always contacted to King George as a teacher and focus on equality between he [him] and King George.

It was a new experience for King George. It seemed that The king George felt rudeness to Lionel at the beginning but gradually he accept it, finally the king George realized Lionel was always thinking about The king George as a his student, not the King, then an ice was broken between them.
Thus, the king George and Lionel became the lifetime friend[s].

I really enjoyed this movie!

Yumi

Teacher's Note: Here we are shown that in spite of the stark contrasts between the two characters, they become friends when they find a way to show respect for the other, each in his own manner. A cool approach for explaining their friendship! Thanks for posting.

I think it is difficult to make a strong bond with such a totally different person, because it is very tiring to be with him. However, I also think that it can be possible to get along if they spend much time with each other because they have something which the other person does not have, so It seems attractive to the other. That Is why I think the key reason they [Bertie and Lionel] become good friends is that the king has the reason to be with Lionel. Spending thousands of time can only let us know what kind of person the others [other is] or the other is, so it is impossible to judge what he or she is from first look or something like that.

Takuto

Teacher's Note: This author does a good job of explaining how it is that two very different human beings are able to form a bond when such a bond would not normally happen. Thanks for posting! --mike :arrow:www.MoviesGrowEnglish.com
