Hi, this is King. Before I watched the TIN CUP, in my opinion, the golf seems like a kind of easy sport.Just standing on the land, and hitting the small balls into the hole, and that is the all ideas which were in my mind about golf. Now I think the golf is a kind of sport which needs many skills and very hard. In the film, I think that the hero, Tin Cup, was trying to gamble in the Open, but lives are not always perfect. He lost the game, but he also showed his amazing golf skills in the open, and became the legend----from the skills levels. It was a dangerous gambling. He did not have to try this skill in the Open. He can try this skill at home. If he did not hit the last ball into the hole, he will totally fall in the Open. If I were a investor, I would not invest him, because he is not stable.
Good morning, King. I'm happy that Tin Cup has enhanced your appreciation for the game, at least a little. Golf is indeed an extremely difficult game to play well. Pro golfers spend hours each day hitting little balls into the sky, practicing different shots. Last year Bubba Watson was in a sudden-death playoff to win the Masters Tournament (a major). He hit his approach shot into the trees--huge error. Everyone thought he had lost. His next shot came out of the trees and hooked 90 degrees onto the green, six feet from the cup--a miracle shot. He then won the tournament. Thanks for posting.
