Hello,
I was so into watching movies when I was a kid. But stopped as I grew older. Thus, I couldn't find my favorite ones from the recommended list. I choose the ones I watched and found them somewhat good.
1. toy story 3
2. cars 2
3. life of pie
4. finding nemo
The list shows that I like animated movies, I prefer thriller though.
my favorite ones of all times are
1. green mile
2. entrapment
3. phone booth
4. panic room
and the list keeps on going :p

Thank you for coming onboard. This is a great list. --mike :arrow:http://www.moviesgrowenglish.com

Hi Mike,
Sorry for the late response, I don't expect full grades at all, so here I start doing my homework ;)
I like different kind of movies, therefore I don't stuck on any kind of genre, so here is my list of recommendations or movies I really enjoyed to watch:
1. 21
2. Avatar (of course for its special effects and scenario!)
3. The Departed (very strong movie)
4. Forrest Gump (he is my favorite actor)
5. Inception (my favorite actor as well)
6. Limitless
7. The Matrix (all of parts, not because of special effects, but for the hidden message of this movie)
8. The Prestige (beautiful movie!)
9. Up (just for fun, some say that with my glasses I wear I look like that main character, therefore I have its pic everywhere in social networks)
Nine is a good number to finish my list, I know of course there are much more excellent movies, but I'd prefer to discuss them in person.

Teacher's note: So thrilled that you have joined the conversation. Of course, I'm partial to any of the films on MGE, but you have selected some of my particular favorites. I plan to show a couple of these in the coming weeks. OK what is the hidden message of The Matrix? And how many levels are there in Inception. I would expect Cloud Atlas in this list. I feel it kind of goes with Inception. Thanks for posting.

Regards,

I love comedy and romance films:)

If I were to choose 5 films to watch out of the list, I would probably choose
(1) American Beauty
(2) Dark Night
(3) Slumdog Millionaire
(4) New York Stories
(5) Wall-E

My favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. ;)

Teacher's note: What a great username. I don't have Gone With The Wind, but I do have It Happened One Night with Clark Gable when he was even younger. Thanks for the list.

Hello Mike,
I really enjoy the class, thank you very much! :D
First of all, I would like to say that I am a big fan of movies. Personally, all kinds of comedy would be my first choice. And I also like sci-fi drama, romance, anima and musical adventure.
After I look through the movie list, the following would be my movie recommendations:
1. Cars-Anima Comedy
2. Dead Poet’s Society-Drama(It’s a really touching movie.)
3. The Great Gatsby-Romance, Drama (The story is great and the settings are beautiful.)
4. Iron Man-Action Drama (Robert Downey Jr. is so hot!)
5. The Avengers-Sci-fi Action (Look at the cast! All of the superhero comes together and the movie is fascinating!)
6. Up-Anima (It makes me want to have a husband like Carl.)
And I still have more recommendations 
7. Toy Story 3
8. Finding Nemo
I guess I really like Anima Comedy
And of course I would not forget:
9. Transformers
10. Forest Gump

Teacher's note: What an inspired list. Do you think Robert Downey Jr. is sexy in Tropic Thunder? Thanks for posting.

Hello, Mike,
I am so happy to join this class.
In my free time, i really enjoy watching movies with my friends or with my family. Normally, before i watch a movie, i will go online do some research about that movie, read some reviews written by other people, and if the rating of that movie is quite high, i will never miss it!

I went over the movie list for the class, these are some of my favourite ones:

1. Forrest Gump
2. Iron Man
2. Spirited Away
3. Black Swan
4. Rain Man
5. Transformers

Please let me add one more which is not on the list,
Now You See Me. Like it so much!

Thank You!

Hello Mike and hello everyone,
I choose this class because I enjoy movies very much, and even made some short ones in my spare time. I hope the class can improve my English while watching different kinds of movies. :) I'd have to say that the first movie we watched in the class shocked me a little bit, as I seldom them watch that type of movie before. But I really love this fresh new experience, and looking forward to see more somewhat "special" movies like that! ;)
And here's my favorite ones in the List:
Black Swan
Deep Blue Sea
The King's Speech
Spirited Away
Wall-E
And I'd like to recommend two that is not on the list - Flipped (directed by Rob Reiner) and Even if you walk and walk (a Japanese movie).

Hello, Mike. So excited to join this class.
I enjoy different kinds of movie, there is no specific type.
Here are some of my favorites in the movie list:
1. Inception
2. Devil Wears Prada
3. The King's Speech
4. WALL-E
5. The Matrix
6. Slumdog Millionaire
7. Toy Story 3

When I am tired, I often watch some high school stories or comedies because I can totally relax during the movies. However, I would purposely spare some time for those "big" movies.

Hello, Mike

Great to be here @USC and participate in your class. I want to recommend several movies:

1 Kungfu Panda
2 Polar Express
3 Monster University
4 Frozen
5 The Croods

Though they are cartoon movies, they deliver some important messages: Inner peace, dream, friendship, love and family.
So cartoons can also inspire and guide us.
Can't wait to see a cartoon in Summer B class.
