Hi, this is Kwankyun.
My first movie I saw in a theatre is “the adventure of Roti.” Absolutely nobody knows about this movie. That is because the animation movie was made for a Korean company’s promotion in the limited area.
When I was young, I loved watching movies of some European directors, such as Krzysztof Kieslowski and Leos Carax. I used to admire several French actors/actresses like Denis Lavant, Vincent Cassel and Juliette Binoche.
I am not that into typical Hollywood movies, especially about super action hero movies. Instead, I love the movies dealing with personal and probable story.
“Josee, The Tiger And The Fish (Isshin Inudou),” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry),” “Closer (Mike Nichols)” and “Les Amants du Pont-Neuf (Leos Carax)” are my favorites, coming to my mind now.
I have been interested in movies so far, but I've never taken a movie class during my college days. That's why I chose this elective.
Thank you!
