I think the worst confession was for Dennis. Because he hit a man by his car , and he run a way [ran away] and leaves the man behind him . The man was between live and death . Dennis will be sorry about what he has done.
:D

Teacher's Note: Thank you to this author for being the first to post. Two teacher suggestions, if I may: First, please read the prompt question and answer it. Also, it is important to maintain a consistent time frame when writing. I suggest the present tense as a time frame, but past tense is also OK. Having said that, I agree that Dennis probably makes the most devastating confession of the lot.

BTW, the actor who plays Dennis Hope (the hit-and-run driver) is Jimmy Fallon. Fallon is the new host (as of 2014) of the Tonight Show, (Thank you, James Hutzell at USC, for pointing this out.) which is a most famous late-night variety show in the US. Jay Leno starred as the host for many years. Before that (1962-1992), the host was Johnny Carson, the man who defined late-night variety. Going back to the 1950s, Jack Parr was the original host, if my facts check out. Thanks, for posting.

Johnny Carson was the longest-running host of the Tonight Show.
Congratulations to Jimmy Fallon, the new host.

I liked the story and the directing of the film but, in my opinion when the plane falls down the people
will be in panic and they can not speak and discuss[es]. In addition the co-pilot can not live [leave] his place
and go back to talk with the passengers. In this movie there were fitting and discuss abut many things.
the co-pilot was toking withe the passengers while the plain was falling down. when he came back to his
seat the door opened like a wood door light it was fanny. in summery, the story is not realistic

Teacher Notes: A very clear and concise observation of this amazing scene from Almost Famous. Please check GPS before posting, especially "S" --spelling. Is it plane or plain? 8-) This author makes a good point about the emotional state of the characters. Perhaps, they'd be too afraid to have this conversation. Thanks for a cool post!

In my opinion,it's possible to happen.
Those people not only faced accident, but also even faced death. In that kind of situation nothing is impossible. The people who around each other were probably the last human being I would see, maybe after this they would have been all done. They were scared, probably already lost their mind, their control ,they didn't feel safe, when people in this environment, they would open themselves much deeper than before. So they really wanted to tell the truth which they never told people before.

Teacher Notes: As I was reading this post, I could really feel myself inside the emotions of the characters. That makes this author a good writer. I agree that people would probably want to die with a clean conscience, and would want to apologize for all their transgressions. In this story, there are a lot of transgressions.. Thanks for posting.

When people face this situation, I don't think they can do that like the movie. Although I didn't have experience, I heard something from other people or from news.
When people face death, the first thing they think about is their family, like their parents, their children, and their husband or wife. They have no time to think [wonder if] what they did is immoral. So in my opinion, this movie is not realistic.

Teacher Notes: This author makes a valid point about what people might do in their final moments. IMHO it probably depends on the individual. In Almost Famous, these people have a lot of secrets and bad karma to address. So they feel compelled to "get clean." Another person might be following the path of goodness, and would not be burdened with such heaviness. Thanks much for a great contribution to the post.

Everything is possible, because some stories look like absurd, but they have been based [are based] on the real lives.
The SHORT SEQUENCE is very interesting. This band has a potential and complex relationship, before they frankly talk [to] each other [about] their secrets. Due to the plane has been suffered a electrical storm, all of them were scared. When they felt they will meet a bleach, everyone's spirit splited. Some of them lose their mind, then they expose a lot of human ugly performances like shame, humiliation, palpitations and embarrassment etc. It would be a real story in my opinion.

Teacher Notes: I agree that, given the context of this story, the characters would act the way we see them. But as a previous poster pointed out, a different set of characters might behave differently. Please, please focus on grammar. There are a number of verb tense deals herein. But OK, your writing ideas are GREAT!! I love this post. Big thanks.

It seems to me that this story looks like realistic. People show their true selves when they are in stressful situation. Each of characters in this sequence concealed secrets that didn't give them rest. All of them thought that it was their last minute in life, so they were very frank. I think that renowns' lives are extremely diverse;
more often than fame, money, alcohol, drugs present in their lives. They have unusual lives and relationships, moreover, they are very emotional. For this reasons, this story can be realistic.

Teacher Notes: I like how this author points out that celebrities typically lead more stressful lives than the rest of us, or does all the money and freedom need an excuse to act out our worst desires? Who knows, but in any case, this is a clear observation of reality. Thanks for posting.

The movie story might be true but not realistic . There is a very poor production of sequence of seen, which dose [does] not make however watching the movie
feel the dangerousness of situation.Whenever in such situation you will not be able to talk even to your kids never mind friends and confession your senesce."

Teacher Notes: So this author agrees with an earlier post in that, given the peril, most people would not say too much. They would be too afraid. Let's all please guard for GPS when posting. Think you writer for a cool piece of writing.

In sum, In my opinion from the short clip we can recognise alot of things. First, people start to panic and feel terrified when they hear about death, which is usually what we do; even that we know that all of us will be dead someday. Secondly, the scene does not looks realistic for me for many reasons. One of the reasons is that when the air plan[e] seems to fall down the passengers should wear the Oxygen masks and but their seat belts on. In addition, the co pilot should not leave his seat, because he can make the announcement from the microphone, while he is in the cockpit.

Whoever [However], the artist did well expressing their feeling and sharing their secrets; even though, I do not agree with all of them of sharing his/her secrets, because it will not help in that situation. Moreover, the group of artists in the band have a potential and complex relationship, before they honestly share their secrets they have to think; what is the secrets that they should share what they should not? Due to the plane has been suffered a electrical storm, all of them were scared and all of them were talking randomly and shared things, that maybe made the situation worse.

Teacher Notes: A good point about crash protocol is made here. Where are the oxygen masks and the seat belts? I've been on a few charter flights, and I can say from my own experience that things can happen a little differently than on a commercial flight. I was once in a Boing jet with about 100 people coming back from a wedding. We were on the approach to Long Beach airport when the pilot turned the plane on its side. The wings pointed up and down. On the ground, I asked the pilot why he caused me to almost have a heart attack. He said he was avoiding a cluster of party balloons, didn't want them sucked into the engine. Oh well. Thank you author for a generous post.

Re: ALMOST FAMOUS: No More Secrets

The idea in this part of the movie is wonderful because it shows that anybody with his/her friends has something secret. then, when some situations were come like death or he/she will travel and will never see his/her friends again, he/she like to tell his/her secret to his/her friends. for example, "I like you" or "I ask you to forgive me because I did this". But in my opinion, the story is not realistic or can not happen like this in the real life .because in this situations people will try to find solve the problem. Some of them will try to save their families. Some of them will pray, scream, or cry. It is not enough time to talk, or tell secret.

Teacher Notes: Yes, considering they "are all about to die" it seems that the passengers are more concerned with telling secrets and confessions than they are with acting afraid. Maybe this is how rock stars deal with their fear. After all, Cameron Crowe, who wrote the screenplay and directed "Almost Famous" from which this scene is taken, is indirectly telling his own story as a fifteen-year-old reporter for Rolling Stone magazine. He must have lived through similar experiences, and this is how he remembers it. Thanks for a nice post.
