Frank Slade is the interesting character. My first impression was that he was just a boring father. I thought that he was going to send his son to meet the woman, but Frank went with him and took the initiative. Another thing that surprised me is that he recognized her scent. I assume he was a perfumer, and he knew women very well; even though he was older and blind, he charmed the woman.
Teacher's note: This comment seems so pure and honest because Charlie is not Frank's son at all, but if you didn't see the entire movie, you might think he was Frank's son. Therefore, this observer is able to really see the true relationships between the characters. Charlie is a soap salesman introducing his son to a beautiful woman. Actually, in the story none of this is true, but I see it! Thanks for posting.
