How does Chihiro end up in the theme park?
Chihiro, who had signed the contract with Yubaba, finally broke the spell that bound her - which was the contract - and turned her parents into the human being from the pigs. Then, three of them went back to their car.
Describe her relationship to Master Haku.
Love relationship. The only way to break the spell given by the noxious witch was sharing the true love. In the end, the spell upon Master Haku and Chihiro was broken. Therefore, their relationship should be the love relationship.
What is the secret of Yubaba (see below)?
I want to frontally refute this question itself. The question "What is the secret of Yubaba?" implies us to write about her weakness. In the movie, main characters, including Chihiro and Haku, try to get out of Yubaba's control. Without no doubt, main characters are depicted as the good, and Yubaba is depicted as the evil.
Yet, I do think Yubaba should not be depicted as the evil. Who does not want to be wealthy? Who doesn't love his or her only child? Is keeping a contract a bad act? For all of the questions, I would answer that Yubaba is a very honest woman. If she were truly a bad woman, I am bad, Alex is bad, Michael is bad, and everyone is bad. There's no secret of Yubaba. She is a fine woman who worked hard for her success without illegal, unjust measures.
Teacher's note: So that's her secret? She's not really bad. Who said Yubaba was bad or weak? The movie suggests that she is bad because the other characters are afraid of her except maybe for the three heads. Even Zaneba has unkind words for her. So if we are to conclude that Yubaba is nevertheless good, that would be the revelation of a well-kept secret. Thank you, author for pointing out that Yubaba's position in life (Bathhouse CEO) has as much as anything to do with our perception of her character, and anyone in her position might face the same choices, and as a result, be poorly judged.
