I really like this movie. At the beginning, I could not understand why he started to talk about his story to strangers and could not expect how the story [would] go to the end. I gradually understood the story as it went along. Although Forrest has low IQ, he could run fast and obey someone’s command properly and fast when he compares with other people. I think he had an amazing ability. He succeeded his business and became rich, but he was always lonely. When I watched the scene, I leaned that if people have a lot of money, they are not happy without love. At last, Forrest married Jenny and made his family. It was really good ending.

The scene I was surprised in the film is Forrest saw many historical people such as John Fitzgerald Kennedy and John Lennon. This film told us not only Forrest’s story but also American history.

It was my first time to watch this movie, and I really liked this. Before I watched this movie, I knew about this movie, only title actually because of Bubba Gump, so I had tried to watch this and finally I did.

Anyway, my favorite adventure was the being captain of shrimp ship because from this adventure, we could see the points that the people, Jenny and Bubba and Dan Taylor, how important [they are] to Forrest. Forrest made his ship's name Jenny and, because of the promise that Forrest and Bubba made, Forrest did the adventure, and also thanks to this adventure Forrest and Dan Taylor could be friend[s]. So after I watched this, I thought about my friends, and for me, they were important like for Forrest? So it was really good time to see this.

Honestly because of Bubba Gump, I thought this movie was only about Bubba or shrimp but it was not. I learned many thing such as how to think about my people, and about the adventures that I wished.

Teacher's note: This post is another example of knowing about "Forrest Gump" long before seeing the movie. When you finally see the movie, it's fun to compare the actual movie with how you imagined it. It's a little like reading the book, then seeing the movie. I like the shrimp boat adventure, too. Let's remember, back in Viet Nam, Lieutenant Dan is the boss, but now Forrest is the captain of the ship, a reversal. And Dan has no legs. Funny thing is, he doesn't need them so much on a ship. It is my best movie in this class. It's hard to find another film which is so penetrated the soul. And it's more and more harder to find person like Forrest Gump. This film at all times, because it touches all times' topics. Love and friendship, bravery and courage, kindness and mercy.

And this is a very smart movie. I don't know why it is so smart. It is not about nuclear reactions. But I can feel how much it is smart and insightful. Robert Zemeckis certainly knows what films should be made. The soundtrack is as deep as the film.

Forest Gump is a simple man who showed to us how America was changing from the mid 1950s into the 1980s. There were Captain Kangaroo, Beatles, Presidents Kennedy and Nixon, Vietnam, beatniks.

I want to tell more about Forrest Gump. There were several people who were close to him. But I suppose that Jenny was the closest to him. Once, on the bridge she said him that he doesn't know what does mean to love. But I believe that he loved her as nobody can love! He was running a lot, when he was a child, in college, in the army, and all of his life.

The film begins with a feather falling to the feet of Forrest Gump. And I believe that it was the philosophy about of all our life. He said: "I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time."

I like t[h]is movie. It was very simple and had sad moments. My favorite Gump adventure is shrimp trip with Lieutenant Dan. Gump is closed to Bubba, and Lieutenant, because he left his mother and Jenny left him.

The message is “Simple guy can be successful by working hard and continuous practicing”.

I really liked the message of this movie which is in my sight "belive in yourself, follow your dream and don't lose your faith on it ,then you will reach the goal that won't be furnished with flowers". It was one of the best stories i've ever seen in my life.

This movie was very impressive for me. Gump has low IQ, but he never gives up. Even though he is simple, he could be successful. I realized one thing, after I watched this movie. Never give up.

This was the second time I watch “Forrest Gump”, but I felt like it was the first time. I really loved this movie. It is a very long history, but you don’t feel spending, still waiting for the next scenes.

The first reason why I loved this movie was because it could be a true story. The characters have real attitudes and demonstrate their feelings. I felt like I was part of the history.

Another reason was because it is very nice to see a person who has everything to be none in life, but he can overcome problems and be a successful person. Actually this is the kind of movie that will never be out of season.
