The family of Matt King (George Clooney) has owned land in Hawaii for many generations.  But now they must sell it.  The first problem is that Matt's wife, Elizabeth (Patricia Hastie), is in a coma and dying.  Then, Matt finds out she was having a secret romance with Brian Speer (Matthew Lillard), the real- estate agent who will earn a lot of money from the sale.  Matt must make the best choice for all his family and make peace with his wife.  And he only has a little time.  This story takes us to the beautiful paradise of Hawaii and the wonderful music of Gabby Pahinui.
