In a 1930s Paris train station where everyone has a secret history, young Hugo (Asa Butterfield) does his best to survive without his parents, fix the clocks, and avoid the Station Inspector who wants to send him to the orphanage.  When he makes friends with Isabelle (Chloë Grace Moretz), he learns that her godfather is the mysterious old man in the train station.  She calls him Papa Georges (Ben Kingsley), but what is his dark secret, and how can he and Hugo fix each other ‘s cruel past?  With Christopher Lee, Jude Law, and Sacha Baron Cohen.  Director Martin Scorsese mixes fact and fiction in a lovely story, winner of 5 Academy Awards. Rated PG (126 min.) mike laib 2012
