Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) is a young man torn between a promising career in law or a promising  gamble as a pro poker player.  Worm (Edward Norton) is his old best friend, just out of prison and carrying an old gambling debt.  Teddy KGB (John Malkovich) is the Russian gangster to whom the debt must be paid.  When Mike goes up against KGB in a game of Texas Hold 'Em and loses, the clock is ticking as he and Worm try to win enough money before Grama (Michael Rispoli) and KGB "own them".   All the while, Mike tries to keep alive his dream of going to Vegas and competing in the World Series of Poker.   Rated R (121 min.) mike laib 2015
