History, romance, and, mythology join up, in this comedy/drama about  young William Shakespeare (Joseph Fienne), a playwright desperate to write his next masterpiece.  But first, he must fall in love and become inspired.  So along comes beautiful Viola De Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) who wants to be an actress in a time when women are not allowed on the stage.  To make things worse, she must marry Lord Wessex (Colin Firth) for reasons that are not romantic.  As Will and Viola fall in love, the story of Romeo and Juliet begins to take shape.  But how does it all turn out?  I don't know.  It's a mystery.  Director, John Madden, written by Marc Norman, Tom Stoppard.  Winner 7 Academy Awards.   Rated R (123 min.) mike laib 2012.
