In the near future, there has been a world-wide viral epidemic.  England's government reacts by imposing strong control over its people.  But who is responsible for the virus?  One man in a Guy Fawkes mask (Hugo Weaving) has plenty of reason to believe that the leadership itself is to blame for the world catastrophe.  When he rescues Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman) from some government bad guys, he tells Evey that his name is V.  Thus begins a great friendship and a deadly effort to carry justice to a world where good intensions bring evil, and evil must be faced with a vendetta for every death that good intensions have caused.   Rated R (132 min) mike laib 2012
