Gordon Gekko, Wall-Street power broker, (Michael Douglas) is free from prison after 8 years.  He meets Jake Moore (Shia LaBeouf), a young stockbroker who believes in the fusion technology.  Jake’s fiancée, Winnie (Carey Mulliga) happens to be Gekko’s daughter.  Bretton James (Josh Brolin) is Gekko’s long-time enemy in a story that takes us deep into the high-stakes game of Wall Street finance.  Can Jake realize his dream of fusion technology, and keep Winnie happy while winning the friendship of Gekko before he’s destroyed by Bretton James?  What is Gekko planning, now that he’s free from prison?  This all happens, as Wall Street itself seems on the verge of death. PG-13 (150 min.) mike laib 2011
