William's mother wants him to be a lawyer, but William (fifteen-years old) becomes a journalist in the rock-and-roll music biz of 1973.  He goes on the road with the (fictitious) band, Stillwater, gets hired by Rolling Stone Magazine, and meets Penny Lane.  Against the advice of mentor, Lester Bangs, he makes friends and shares several adventures with band-member Russel.  This beautiful story of a young man finding his place in the world is written by Cameron Crowe, based on his real-life experience.  Rated R (120 min.)  mike laib 2010.
