As the result of a failed rebellion in the 13th district of a future America, there is a game held once a year in which two players  (age 12 to 18) from each district are chosen by chance to fight to the death.  When Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to replace her younger sister, she joins Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in representing District 12.  But there can be only one winner.   In the Capitol, Katniss, Peeta and the other 22 players are treated like royalty in the four days of preparation.  Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), a previous winner, teaches Katniss & Peeta.   They'll need all the help they can get if they are to have any chance of being the only survivor.  With Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Lenny Kravitz, Donald Sutherland.
