After a terrible nuclear war, a new order arises in the desert, built around old car parts and the cult leadership of Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne).  When Furiosa (Charlize Theron) steals Joe's  five wives and the War Rig, Joe and his army of weirdoes chases after her.  Somehow, Max (Tom Hardy) gets caught in the middle of all this madness and eventually takes sides with Furiosa along with War Boy Nux (Nicholas Hoult) who realizes he's been used by Joe.  Will they ever reach the Green Place that Furiosa dreams about, and will Max ever reconcile those nightmares about his lost family?    Winner of 6 Academy Awards for production values.  Rated R (120 min.) mike laib 2016
