In the classic story, beautifully retold by Disney Studios, Rapunzel is born with golden hair that has the power to heal and restore youth.  But the baby is kidnapped by Gothel  (Donna Murphy), who raises Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) as her own daughter and keeps her prisoner in a tower.  Mother Gothel only wants Rapunzel because her golden hair keeps Mother Gothel from getting old.  When Rapunzel meets outlaw, Flynn Rider (Zachery Levi), she leaves the  tower for the first time and begins the great adventure that will prove her destiny as a future queen.  Screenplay by Dan Fogelman. Rated PG (100 min.) mike laib 2012
