In the early days of cinema, the Three Amigos (Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short) are Hollywood movie stars, but when they get fired by Harry Flugleman (Joe Mantegna), they take an acting job in Mexico, where they are to save the village of Santa Poco from the evil El Guapo (Alfonso Arau).  But too late, the Amigos realize that this is not a movie.  It’s REAL!  With real bullets.  Now they must prove that the Three Amigos can really stand up to an army of bandidos.
