Roy McAvoy (Kevin Costner) is a golf pro who falls in love with Molly Griswald (Rene Russo) who happens to be dating David Simms (Don Johnson), golf superstar and McAvoy’s college rival.  Molly inspires Roy to start taking himself seriously again, so he qualifies for the US Open.  He faces his demons with help from his caddy, Romeo (Cheech Marin) and choses between “going for it” and “playing it safe.” in a story where golf is a metaphor for life.  Rated R (135 min.)  mike laib 2010.
