This adventure comedy about an unlikely friendship takes place in the late 1800s, when America's railroads pushed ever westward, often at the expense of Native Indians.  Tonto (Johnny Depp) is the Indian with a mysterious background, and kemosabe is what Tonto calls The Lone Ranger (Armie Hammer), a lawyer and undercover lawman determined to protect the ideals of frontier justice.  Together, they discover a villainy far greater than the evil Butch Cavendish (William Fichtner) and his band of outlaws can possibly dream up, in this thrilling  Walt Disney classic.  With Saginaw Grant as Chief Big Bear.   Jerry Bruckheimer production.  Rated PG-13 (149 min.) mike laib 2014.
