In a classic story based on the 1933 novel by British author, James Hilton, four men and a woman find themselves on a plane which takes them to Shangri-La, the place of perfect happiness.  Brothers Robert  (Ronald Coleman) and George (John Howard) Conway have very different views of this paradise, a valley hidden in the high Himalaya mountains.  Robert soon meets the High Lama (Sam Jaffe) and beautiful Sondra (Jane Wyatt) who share the wonders and secrets of this far-away land.  But George wants only to escape.  He must convince his brother to join him and return to civilization as Robert is drawn ever deeper into this perfect world.  Directed by Frank Capra. 5 Academy Award nominations, 2 wins. Unrated (132 min.) mike laib 2012.
