At the nursing home, Old Duke (James Garner) patiently reads to Allie (Gena Rowlands) from a notebook, about a wealthy young woman (Rachel McAdams) and her summer romance with Noah (Ryan Gosling), a handsome young man from the poor side of town.  But  now Allie has dementia, and doesn't realize that the young woman was she.  The year was 1940.  Back then, Noah and Allie could not have possibly found a way to make their shared dreams come true.  An yet, against impossible odds, a story of lifelong love evolves.  The only question is: will today's Noah find a way to help his beloved Allie remember the life they have always shared?  Rated PG-13 (123 min.) mike laib 2015.
