Director Steven Spielberg , novel by Ernest  Cline, this cyber adventure, plots an incredible journey into the near-future of competitive gaming. with a platform called OASIS.   When James Halliday (Mark Rylance), its creator dies, he leaves a winner-take-all challenge that is irresistible to Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) as well as the IOI, arch rival to Halliday's company.   Wade meets Samantha (Olivia Cook) and things get personal when he learns that IOI destroyed her family through a system called Loyalty Centers.  Wade must think fast and play hard if he is to find the golden egg first and stop the evil that is IOI.  With Ben Mendelsohn, Lena Waithe, and Simon Pegg.    Rated PG-13 (140 min.) mike laib 2018.
