In this music comedy, Dewey Finn (Jack Black) is a failed rock musician.  But, when he gets a job as a school teacher, he forms his fifth-grade class into "The School of Rock" and enters them in the Battle of the Bands for a chance to win $20,000.   However, Principal Mullins (Joan Cusack)  figures out Dewey's plan, and so do the kids' parents.  Will Dewey and the kids get their chance to prove they can rock with the big boys before their dream is ended?  Directed by Richard Linklater, written by Mike White.  Rated PG-13 (108 min.) mike laib 2014.
