The controversial Hollywood film director, Oliver Stone takes on his version of one of the most controversial figures of the early 21st century.   His window into Edward Snowden’s life is structured around a 2013 encounter and interview Snowden gave at the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong, in 2013 on the eve of his disappearance to Moscow.   Present at this meeting were Laura Poitras, documentary filmmaker, along with Glenn Greenwald and Ewen MacAskill of the Guardian.    During the course of this narrative, Snowden flashes back to the pivotal moments of his life that drove him to copy and leak classified government information.   Stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Rhys Ifans, and Nicolas Cage.
